Hellaw Hellaw Sunderland! We are Up North and our mission is to bring expressive and sustainable fashion to Sunderland. We are entirely stocked with organic cotton, entirely powered by clean solar panel energy, and all of our designs come from local designers and artists in our area, including Ellie Dance, KRT.Design and Jack Cushingham. All our designs are Sunderland themed, so you can express where you’re from loud and proud. So if you want to support our artists, our area , and our planet, while also looking sick af, then get yourself down to Up North and get yasel’ some cool shit!

Fast fashion is inexpensive ,mostly low quality, clothing that is rapidly mass produced in alignment with micro trends in mind. Meaning these clothes are made with a short lifespan in mind in order to get more sales in the long run. This leads to awful work conditions, textile waste, soil pollution, water pollution, a LOT of carbon emissions , and all for what? So we get some nice comments on our instagram pages on an outfit that will be in a landfill next week?
We are firmly against this practice, and take every step possible to fight against it! All of our clothing is sustainably made with organic cotton, we are powered purely on solar energy and we encourage customers to return clothing they no longer wish to keep, so that they can have a second life, slowing down the disease that is fast fashion.
